Lesson Plans for March 31-April 4

GEOMETRY:

Monday March 31:  We will grade and go over wkst 10.1.  We will have a lesson on Arcs of Circles, 10.2.  The assignment is wkst 10.2.

Tuesday April 1:  The assignment is online at bigideasmath.coom

Wednesday April 2:  We will have a lesson on Arc Length/Circumference, 11.1.  The assignment is a wkst.

Thursday April 3:  The assignment is wkst 11.1B.

Friday April 4:  Students will take Quiz 10.1-10.2/11.1.

HONORS GEOMETRY:

Monday March 31:  We will grade wkst 10.1B and have a lesson reviewing Factoring.  The assignment is a wkst.

Tuesday April 1:  The assignment is wkst 10.1B2.

Wednesday April 2:  We will have a lesson on Arc Measures, 10.2.  The assignment is page 546-547 #1-2,4-18even,19-24all,26,31,34,36.

Thursday April 3:  We will have a lesson on Chords of Circles, 10.3.  The assignment is page 553 #1,2,6,10,13-18all,22.

Friday April 4:  Students will take Quiz 10.1-10.3 and then cut out study flashcards.

Welcome to Geometry!

Geometry is a math course that is very different from Algebra.  It deals with shapes of all sorts, both 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional and all of the properties associated with them.  Geometry is a very visual subject with many drawings and diagrams.  Geometry is useful for real world applications and we will explore those.

I look forward to a challenging and rewarding year for all.
