(11) Two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures. The student uses the process skills in the application of formulas to determine measures of two- and three-dimensional figures. The student is expected to:
(A) apply the formula for the area of regular polygons to solve problems using appropriate units of measure;
(B) determine the area of composite two-dimensional figures comprised of a combination of triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, kites, regular polygons, or sectors of circles to solve problems using appropriate units of measure;
(C) apply the formulas for the total and lateral surface area of three-dimensional figures, including prisms, pyramids, cones, cylinders, spheres, and composite figures, to solve problems using appropriate units of measure; and
(D) apply the formulas for the volume of three-dimensional figures, including prisms, pyramids, cones, cylinders, spheres, and composite figures, to solve problems using appropriate units of measure.

GEOMETRY:

Monday April 15:  Students will take a test on circles.

Tuesday April 16:  This is the STARR EOC English 2 test.

Wednesday April 17:  Sophomores are taking the TSI test.

Thursday April 18:  We will have a lesson on Area of Trapezoids, Kites, and Rhombi, 11.3A.  The assignment is wkst 11.3Part 1, evens.

Friday April 19:  The assignment is wkst 11.3APart 1, odds.

HONORS GEOMETRY:

Monday April 15-Tuesday April 16:  We will have a lesson on Circumference and Arc Length, 11.1.  The assignment is page 602 #1-10,15-22,30.  Tuesday is the EOC for sophomores and I am giving it.

Wednesday April 17-Thursday April 18:  We will have a lesson on Areas of Circles/Sectors, 11.2.  The assignment is page 610-611 #1-2,4-18even,22-28even.

Friday April 19:  We will have a lesson on Area of Rhombi, Kites, and Trapezoids, 11.3A.  The assignment is wkst 11.3Part1.

GEOMETRY:

Monday August 28:  We will grade and go over wkst 1.2/1.3.  Students will complete an assignment on pages 24-25 #1-2,6-10all,20-28even,32,34.

Tuesday August 29:  We will have a lesson on Polygons, Area, and Perimeter, 1.4.  The assignment is wkst 1.4A.

Wednesday August 30:  We will grade wkst 1.4A and students will take Quiz 1.3-1.4.

Thursday August 31:  We will review material learned in 1.1-1.4 in preparation for a TEST.

Friday September 1:  TEST 1.1-1.4

Monday September 4:  LABOR DAY HOLIDAY 🙂

HONORS GEOMETRY:

Monday August 28:  We will grade and go over wkst 1.5C and students will complete the chaper 1 test review in preparation for a TEST.

Tuesday August 29:  Chapter 1 TEST

Wednesday August 30-Thursday August 31:  We will have a lesson on Conditional Statements and Biconditional Statements, 2.1.  Students will do a partner activity and the assignment is page 71-72 #1-2,10,14,16-17,19,23,25-28all,30-38even,46,50,52.

Friday September 1:  We will have a lesson on 2.2A Inductive Reasoning.  The assignment is page 80 #3-16all.

Monday September 4:  LABOR DAY HOLIDAY 🙂
