Lesson Plans for Jan. 12-16

GEOMETRY:

Monday Jan 12:  Students will take Quiz 6.4-6.5,5.3-5.6.

Tuesday Jan.13-Wednesday Jan.14:  We will have a lesson on how to prove that triangles are congruent with a 2 column proof format.  The assignment is a Proof Booklet and a wkst “2 Column Proofs”.

Thursday Jan.15:  We will have a lesson on CPCTC, 5.7.  Students will finish the Proof Booklet and also finish the wkst “2 Column Proofs”.

Friday Jan.16:  Students will complete a review wkst.

Monday Jan.19:  MLK Holiday 🙂

HONORS GEOMETRY:

Monday Jan.12-Tuesday Jan.13:  We will have a lesson on Medians and Altitudes in a Triangle.  We will do Exploration 1 and 2 with DESMOS.  The assignment is page 328 #1-14,16-17,20,42,44.

Wednesday Jan.14:  Students will complete the review wkst.

Thursday Jan.15:  We will have a lesson on Midsegments of Triangles, 6.4.  The assignment is page 337 #1-4,8-20even,26.

Friday Jan.16:  We will have a lesson on Triangle Inequalities, 6.5.  The assignment is a wkst.

Monday Jan.19:  MLK Holiday 🙂

Monday Jan.5:  Teacher Workday

Tuesday Jan.6:  We will have a lesson on Midsegments of Triangles, 6.4.  The assignment is page 337 #1-4,7-18all.

Wednesday Jan.7:  We will have a lesson on Triangle Inequalities, 6.5.  We will do a discovery activity for the theorem.  The assignment is a worksheet.

Thursday Jan.8- Friday Jan.9:  We will have a lesson on Triangle Congruence Theorems, 5.3-5.6.  The assignment is wkst Triangle Congruences.

HONORS GEOMETRY:

Monday Jan.5:  Teacher Workday

Tuesday Jan.6:  We will have a lesson on Bisectors, 6.1.  The assignment is page 310 #1-18,23-24.

Wednesday Jan.7:  We will continue with Bisectors and have a lesson on how to write the equation of a perpendicular bisector.  Students will add on #19-22,30 to their previous assignment.

Thursday Jan.8:  We will have a lesson on Bisectors of Triangles, 6.2.  We will do 2 DESMOS Exploration activities in bigideasmath.

Friday Jan.9:  We will continue with 6.2 and discuss Circumcenters and Incenters.  The assignment is page 319-320 #1-8,11-16,25-26,29-32,35-36.
