(11) Two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures. The student uses the process skills in the application of formulas to determine measures of two- and three-dimensional figures. The student is expected to:
(A) apply the formula for the area of regular polygons to solve problems using appropriate units of measure;
(B) determine the area of composite two-dimensional figures comprised of a combination of triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, kites, regular polygons, or sectors of circles to solve problems using appropriate units of measure;
(C) apply the formulas for the total and lateral surface area of three-dimensional figures, including prisms, pyramids, cones, cylinders, spheres, and composite figures, to solve problems using appropriate units of measure; and
(D) apply the formulas for the volume of three-dimensional figures, including prisms, pyramids, cones, cylinders, spheres, and composite figures, to solve problems using appropriate units of measure.

GEOMETRY:

Monday April 14:  Students will go to Google Classroom and copy the notes, formulas, and examples for Area of Trapezoids, Kites, and Rhombi, 11.3A.  The assignment is wkst 11.3A.

Tuesday April 15:  We will have a lesson on how to find the Area of Regular Polygons, 11.3B.

Wednesday April 16:  The assignment is wkst 1.

Thursday April 17:  The assignment is wkst 2.

Friday April 18-Monday April 21:  HOLIDAYS 🙂

HONORS GEOMETRY:

Monday April 14:  Students will continue working on Segments of Circles, 10.6 and complete wkst 10.6B.  They will also begin reviewing for their test by completing Review 1.

Tuesday April 15:  We will have a lesson on Equations of Circles, 10.7.  The assignment is wkst 10.7C.

Wednesday April 16:  Students will complete the chapter 10 review and study notecards.

Thursday April 17:  Chapter 10 TEST

Friday April 18-Monday April 21:  HOLIDAYS 🙂

GEOMETRY:

Monday Sept.9:  We will go over the Quiz on Angles and students will make needed corrections.  They will then complete the review 1.5-1.6 in preparation for the TEST on Tuesday.

Tuesday Sept.10:  TEST 1.5-1.6

Wednesday Sept.11-Friday Sept.13:  We will have a lesson on Conditionals and Biconditionals, 2.1.  The assignment is worksheet 2.1A.

HONORS GEOMETRY:

Monday Sept.9:  Students will turn in wkst.2.2B.  We will have a lesson on Polygons, Area, and Perimeter, 1.4.  The assignment is wkst 1.4B.

Tuesday Sept.10:  We will have a lesson on Postulates and Diagrams, 2.3.  The assignment is page 87 #1-2,6,12-22even,23-24,30-32.

Wednesday Sept.11:  Students will take Quiz 2.1-2.3,1.4.

Thursday Sept.12-Friday Sept.13:  We will have a lesson on Algebraic Reasoning and Properties, 2.4.  The assignment is wkst 2.4B.
