(4) Logical argument and constructions. The student uses the process skills with deductive [inductive] reasoning to understand geometric relationships. The student is expected to:
(A) distinguish between undefined terms, definitions, postulates, conjectures, and theorems;
(B) identify and determine the validity of the converse, inverse, and contrapositive of a conditional statement and recognize the connection between a biconditional statement and a true conditional statement with a true converse;
(C) verify that a conjecture is false using a counterexample; and
(D) compare geometric relationships between Euclidean and spherical geometries, including parallel lines and the sum of the angles in a triangle.

Monday Sept.4:  LABOR DAY HOLIDAY 🙂

Tuesday Sept.5:  We will have a lesson on Angles, 1.5.  The assignment will be in bigideasmath.com.

Wednesday Sept.6-Thursday Sept.7:  We will have a lesson on Angle Pairs, 1.6.  The assignment is wkst 1.6A.  We will go over TEST 1.1-1.4 and students will make corrections.

Friday Sept.8:  Students will complete wkst 1.6.

Tuesday Sept.5:  Students will turn in pg 80 #3-16.  We will have a lesson on Deductive Reasoning, 2.2B.  The assignment is wkst 2.2B.

Wednesday Sept.6:  We will have a lesson on Polygons, Area, and Perimeter, 1.4.  The assignment is wkst 1.4B.

Thursday Sept.7:  We will have a lesson on 2.3 Postulates and Diagrams.  The assignment is page 87 #1-2,6,12-22even,23-24,30-32.

Friday Sept.8:  Students will take Quiz 2.1-2.2.

Monday August 28:  We will grade and go over wkst 1.2/1.3.  Students will complete an assignment on pages 24-25 #1-2,6-10all,20-28even,32,34.

Tuesday August 29:  We will have a lesson on Polygons, Area, and Perimeter, 1.4.  The assignment is wkst 1.4A.

Wednesday August 30:  We will grade wkst 1.4A and students will take Quiz 1.3-1.4.

Thursday August 31:  We will review material learned in 1.1-1.4 in preparation for a TEST.

Friday September 1:  TEST 1.1-1.4

Monday August 28:  We will grade and go over wkst 1.5C and students will complete the chaper 1 test review in preparation for a TEST.

Tuesday August 29:  Chapter 1 TEST

Wednesday August 30-Thursday August 31:  We will have a lesson on Conditional Statements and Biconditional Statements, 2.1.  Students will do a partner activity and the assignment is page 71-72 #1-2,10,14,16-17,19,23,25-28all,30-38even,46,50,52.

Friday September 1:  We will have a lesson on 2.2A Inductive Reasoning.  The assignment is page 80 #3-16all.
